22nd Annual GREAT ROTARY FISHING DERBY
Derby headquarters--
Meredith,New Hampshire on Lake Winnipesaukee
Any lake in N.H is eligible for prizes,but only selected lakes have Meredith rotary tagged rainbow trout for the grand prizes!

1999 results-- Bassman { SAC PLACE } caught a 2 3/4 lb tagged rainbow! Any other year He'd have been in the money! If not 1st!! The winner was 2.8 or 2.9 lbs and Bassman still ended up in 12th place! Lot's of nice fish caught!! Bowana was a NO SHOW! 1st I've missed in about 5 years!
Last years results-----
Lake Massabesic for two days-did not catch a thing!
Two tagged rainbows caught next to us! One under size 13.5 in. the other went to Fish Board at 15 1/4 in.. Rumor has it a lot of good sized tagged trout were coming out of Lake Ossippee. An 18 1/2 inch rainbow won the grand prize caught on Little Squam.Second and third place were 17 inches each.

Registration fee is $6.00 and begins at 5:30A.M.
at the Country Pond Rod and Gun Club
located
on Pond Street in Newton.
Door prizes for children under 12.
Food and
bait available at the club house.

largest bass,largest white perch,largest yellow perch,
largest pickerel,and largest miscellaneous fish.
UPDATE-Well got skunked again-several of the others in my group caught and boarded fish.
{I swear I do catch fish-just not in tournaments}
Estimated wind chill was -10 in the A.M..

CATCH AND RELEASE FISHING TIPS
Play fish as quick as possible. Avoid netting fish.
Handle fish as little as possible. Avoid harming eyes, fins, gills, and protective body slime.
Cut line if gill hooked or if the fish swallowed the bait.
Measure fish, photograph and release fish quickly.
